The 15th World Conference on Titanium was held in Edinburgh from June 12th to 16th, 2023. This conference, which takes place every four years, covers all areas related to titanium and titanium alloys. Participants from both the scientific and industrial sectors had excellent opportunities to exchange information on current trends in titanium research and development through more than 400 presentations. A visit to the Advanced Forming Research Center in Glasgow and the Conference Dinner at the National Museum of Scotland completed the program. Scottish national pride was evident in both the culinary offerings and the musical accompaniment at the conference.

The Institute I was represented by Mirjam Wiedemann, Nina Pfeffer, and Annalena Meermeier, who gave presentations on the topics Cold Dwell Fatigue, the new TISTRAQ process for the production of sheet metal components, and Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing.
