TMS 2025, Las Vegas
The annual conference of the Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS), which was held this year from March 23 to 27 at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas right on the famous Las Vegas Boulevard (“The Strip”), attracted more than 4,000 participants from industry and research, just as in previous years. A delegation from MSE I also traveled to the USA for this event.
The TMS was supplemented with presentations by Prof. Mathias Göken, Prof. Peter Felfer, Dr. Steffen Neumeier (two presentations), Dr. Ashton Egan, Jan Vollhüter, and Annalena Meermeier. Former colleagues were also met again at the TMS, including Prof. Benoit Merle (University of Kassel), Dr. Andreas Bezold (The Ohio State University), and Dr. Christopher Zenk (WTM FAU).
The conference not only inspired scientific discussions with old and new acquaintances but also, due to its extensive offerings, encouraged social activities. The evenings could be enjoyed sightseeing along the Strip in perfect weather.
