Doctorate with distinction for Lukas Haußmann!
On 23.06.2025, Mr. Lukas Haußmann successfully defended his doctorate with the title “Micromechanical investigation of the creep properties of Ni- and Co-based superalloys at elevated temperatures”. This outstanding doctorate was mainly due to the funding of the “SFB/Transregio 103 SUPERALLOY SIGLE CRYSTALS”, in which Dr. Haußmann himself was actively involved for many years. Among other things, his work focused on determining the high-temperature properties of different nickel and cobalt-based alloys in which different alloy compositions could be simulated using diffusion pairs. The aim was to find out to what degree the chromium content can be increased without having to accept a significant deterioration in the creep properties.
Dr.-Ing. Lukas Haußmann now works at MAN SE in Nuremberg. The Chair of MSE I congratulates him on this outstanding achievement and wishes him and his family all the best, both professionally and privately.
