Successful doctorate of Benedikt Ernst!
On January 9, 2026, Mr. Benedikt Ernst successfully defended his dissertation entitled: “Creep behavior of lead-free Sn-Ag3.8-Cu0.7 solder, taking into account the oligocrystalline microstructure of cast bulk samples.” The work was carried out in close cooperation with the Technical University of Ingolstadt and makes a valuable contribution to the understanding of the long-term mechanical behavior of lead-free solder systems. By investigating creep behavior from a microstructural perspective, the dissertation provides important insights for research and industrial applications.
